The Foundation For Training and Protection of Mentally Handicapped Children (ZICEV), was established in 1982 by a group of volunteers under the leadership of Makbule Ölçen, to integrate children/individuals with special needs into social life and enable them to become self-sufficient individuals. ZICEV provides education and rehabilitation services to individuals of all ages and all disability levels and it is proud to be the first non-governmental organization in its field. 

For more than 40 years, we have brought together tens of thousands of individuals with special needs with education in Education and Rehabilitation Centers. Currently, we provide full-time and individual training to approximately 1500 students with special needs in 14 different cities, together with our Headquarters in Ankara.
